Last semester our wonderful alumni sister Joanna suggested that we hold a retreat during the summer. The idea was to spent some quality time together outside of the academic environment. We all put our heads together and with a generous donation from Joanna we were able to have a great time out in Galveston, Tx.
The rain had been unrelenting for two weeks prior but that did not stop us from having fun! Nothing gets a Phi Rho girl down. We always have fun, rain or shine!
Luckily for us, of the three days we spent out in Galveston one of them was all Shine!
Slip N Slide Fun!
A great way to beat the heat and bring us back to childhood!
The beach house had many amenities but I think all the girls' favorite had to be the golf carts!
I did not know those things could go so fast!
I did not know those things could go so fast!
This game involved getting the little doughnut from one person to another. You must not drop the doughnut or you have to start over again!
Come on girls! Don't break the chain!
You can do this!
You just can't separate these two!
That's some sister love!
Of course being at the beach called for a luau-themed weekend!
Hula skirts, leis and coconut bras, CHECK!
We felt a little bad for using a penguin-like pinata but it was all in fun!
Disclaimer:
No actual penguins were injured in this pinata smashing!
We had a great time and look forward to doing this every year!
