Rookies survive first Critical Mass Hosuton

Xochitl (Baez) Trujillo and Trishia Saulog completed their first Critical Mass Ride Houston on June 29, 2012.  You can check out the group's information webpage by clicking this link. http://houstoncriticalmass.com/  This was their first large group ride in hopes to better prepare for their longer ride coming up on July 21, Tour de Paris Texas.  If you are interested in riding in Tour de Paris Texas, please visit their website at http://tourdeparis.org/

Wikepedia explains the Critical Mass best.  Here’s what it says:
“Critical Mass is a bicycling event typically held on the last Friday of every month in over 300 cities around the world. While the ride was originally founded in 1992 in San Francisco with the idea of drawing attention to how unfriendly the city was to cyclists, direct action of meeting at a set location and time and traveling as a group through city or town streets on bikes.” the leaderless structure of Critical Mass makes it impossible to assign it any one specific goal. In fact, the purpose of Critical Mass is not formalized beyond the direct action of meeting at a set location and time and traveling as a group through city or town streets on bikes.”
